YouTube Videos Not Playing on Android Devices

Overview

Youtube released an update (v11.16.62) which is causing Playback issues for some Youtube videos inside Mobile Roadie’s Android apps. Affected devices will display 'There was a problem while playing’ the video when attempting playback inside the Mobile Roadie App

Resolving Youtube Video Playback Issue on Android

To resolve this video playback issue, end users must uninstall the latest update to the Youtube app installed on their Android devices. To uninstall these updates, end users should:

1. Open the Settings app, scroll down, and tap ‘Application Manager'

2. Swipe over to the ‘All’ heading, Scroll down, and tap the YouTube app

3. Click ‘Uninstall updates’ and confirm the factory reset of the YouTube app

This will reset the YouTube app on the Android device to its factory default/installation version. Once this factory reset is completed, the the affected YouTube videos will successfully play again inside the Mobile Roadie Android app!
